Crane Lifts Two Pieces of Holocaust History Amidst Museum Expansion

A crane helped to lift two enormous pieces of history at the Holocaust Museum Houston. The museum is currently in the middle of a $50 million expansion project, which prompted the relocation of an old railcar and a Danish boat, KHOU News reported. The artifacts represent two sides of Holocaust history: the boat is the same kind that was used to smuggle Jews out of danger during WWII, and the railcar is said to be just one of many that the Nazis used to take millions of Jews to concentration camps, KHOU reported….

From the photographer’s notes – "On Sunday the 10th [2014] I went over to see how the progress was on the Last bridge being placed on Huntington Dr. The installed the last steel girder at 3 AM Saturday morning. But they were still doing finishing work on Sunday. Quite an operation and now all
the bridges on the project are complete.

The tour of the Main Shops & Yards is over and then on Thursday our usual group did a complete tour of the line from Arcadia to Glendora. Work seems to be decelerating all along the line. The bridge over Santa Anita is 100% finished. Looks great. The station at Arcadia is really moving fast. Canopy’s up and roofing material being placed.

On Shamrock Ave. the ground is being prepared and foundations for the overhead support poles have been poured. This is where the Pull in and Pull out tracks will come out of the Yards and then connect to the Main line with a "Y" at the connection."

We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
